Annadel Estate Winery; a Santa Rosa Winery, Announces New Ownership

SANTA ROSA, CA – October 9, 2020 – Annadel Estate Winery, an elegant winery centrally located in Sonoma’s Valley of the Moon, was purchased by Katie Honey and Dan Whalen on September 3, 2020. Armed with a knowledge of wine and business, the new owners will transform Annadel Estate Winery into their own by elevating vineyard operations, raising the caliber of wine production, and curating exceptional event experiences. Katie and Dan, both sommeliers, completed their first successful harvest this fall and have their sights set on expanding the estate’s wine portfolio.

“Annadel is a boutique winery, offering private curated tasting experiences. We believe that making the highest quality wines and delivering first-class customer service, coupled with the natural beauty of the property, will allow us to provide a one-of-a-kind personalized experience for each guest,” says co-owner Dan Whalen. Adjusting to what customers are telling them is of utmost importance to the new owners. “We are expanding our wine list based on customer feedback, and plan to grow and offer Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wine in the near future.” Annadel Estate Winery will release the first of these offerings in early 2021.

In addition to an expanded wine menu, the property will take on a new look and feel starting in 2021. “While the grounds are stunning, the ruins and barn are the crown jewels of our estate and we want to showcase this piece of history. We’ve started renovations and can’t wait to open up more of this enchanting place to our guests,” says co-owner Katie Honey. “With our convenient proximity to hotels in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg, and being only an hour from San Francisco, Annadel Estate is the perfect venue for private, local, and destination events.” The Estate will continue to host weddings and corporate events on its 33-acre property and offers flexible catering, beverage, and entertainment options among its various event spaces.
